چکیده
Abstract Cross-country (XC) ski races involve a variety of formats, two different techniques and tracks with highly variable topography environmental conditions. In addition, XC skiing is major component both Nordic combined biathlon competitions. Research in this area, the laboratory field, encounters certain difficulties that may reduce reliability validity data obtained, as well complicate comparisons between studies. Here, 13 international experts propose specific guidelines designed to enhance quality research publications on skiing, skiing. We consider biomechanical (kinematic, kinetic neuromuscular) physiological methodology (at systemic and/or muscle level), providing recommendations for standardization/control experimental setup. describe types measuring equipment technology are most suitable context. Moreover, we also deal aspects nomenclature classical skating sub-techniques. addition enhancing studies biathlon, our should be value sport scientists coaches other disciplines where measurements performed outdoors.

Kinematics of sprint cross-country skiing
The purpose of our study was to characterise the diagonal stride locomotion during a new short sprint race in cross-country skiing. Thirty male cross-country skiers were sagittaly filmed on an uphill portion of the 1.2-km classic race of the world cup (2004) using a digital camera. The main body joints, skis and poles were digitised frame by frame. Results indicated higher SV and SR for similar...

Cross-country ski racing has evolved rapidly in recent years. Of particular interest has been the development and proliferation of the faster freestyle or skating techniques. In spite of changes in technique and equipment, the fact that elite cross-country ski racers have some of the highest aerobic power values reported for endurance athletes has not changed. Successful ski racers have higher ...
